Channels: Google Ads

Account structure

Each location had its own account, but all could run within one for ease of campaign management
  • Each location had the following campaigns:
    • Branded: Targeting US
    • General: Local Targeting (ex. “Luxury hotels,” “luxury hotels near me,” etc.
    • Geo Specific: Targeting US (ex. “Luxury hotel in East Hampton”) to capture out-of-state travelers

Action items:

  • All keywords were updated to phrase or exact
  • An extensive negative list was added to exclude cheap hotel searches
  • Cross-domain tracking to their booking site was implemented to track bookings

Result:

  • All locations booked out three months in advance three months after initial launch.
